Today In Liberal Elistism

Winter break means catching up on all of my neglected reading.  First on the line are New York Times magazines.  Granted, these articles are old-ish, but they’re not exactly dated yet.

The New York Times Real Estate Magazine from Fall 2008 had this great article about “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”  As a fun liberal-elitist activity, every time a quote includes the word “God” or “Jesus,” replace said text with the words “ABC” or “the show’s producers.”

For example: “This is God’s ABC’s plan for our family, and this is a large blessing from him the show’s producers.  There has been so much prayer, and God ABC has seen our situation and stepped in.”

I’m terrible.

In other news…

“God bless Greenspan, patron saint of pool skatin’.”

Pre-marital abstinence pledges don’t work so well.  Hear that Jonas Brothers fans?
