I’m Partisan and I Can’t Help It.

First from The Times Week in Review:

The Transformation revisiting an article written about voters in Levittown and kind of reads like a children’s book:

“Obama” said the ironworker.

“Obama” said the plumber.

“Obama” said the chef.

It Still Felt Good the Morning After, where Frank Rich writes one of the best editorial leads ever: “On the morning after a black man won the White House, America’s tears of catharsis gave way to unadulterated joy.”

Nicholas Kristof’s Obama And the War on Brains.  Isn’t it great to have a nerdy, intelligent guy back in the White House?

Now to the rest of The Times (I’ll read the WaPoMag tomorrow, time willing).

Because I’ve apparently dismissed all attempts at being nonpartisan on this blog: Generation O Gets Its Hopes Up (that’s us guys!)

Oooh an article on MST3K! (They’re releasing a boxed set!)

Before Obama, there was Bill Cosby.

This is a crazy story that you absolutely must read, but I’ll give you the gist of it: guy goes on a solo plane flight, gets a stroke that blinds him and has to land the plane.

And I’ll leave you with one of the most entertaining things I’ve seen this week, and it’s not even about politics!  First, read this article about what happened.  Then watch the hilar video to see it in action.  If you don’t laugh out loud, I’ll refund your subscription fee for the year.  Add your own dialogue for added fun: “Here hold my cigarette while I attempt to mount this painted horse statue.”

Finally, Tina had this article as her status message the morning after the election.  It made me smile.
