Parrrty Timeeee

So both nights this weekend, I’ve texted my roommate asking what he and my other roommate were up to that night because I wanted to go out.  Every time, he’d respond with some iteration of the title of this post, and every time I’ve succeeded in falling asleep before going out.  Maybe it’s because all these articles about crazy party times have worn me out…

There are lots of important polls out there about the upcoming election, but I think this is the most telling: beer has double digit lead over wine.

Computer models of staggering drunks, sent on the planning happy hour listserv, natch.

Ok, we’ve heard of brides making their bridesmaids get the same manicure, wearing the same shoes, and the same hairdo, but these brides want their bridesmaids to get plastic surgery and Botox so they look better.  Ew.

When people ask me why I didn’t work at a Jewish camp, I should just refer them to this article.  The parents.

An oldie, but a goodie: The Speechalist.

Already wrote about the Atlantic article on the same subject, but the NYT asks: Online are you really reading?

Finally, I can’t find the link to it, but the NYT wrote about the UMD SGA!

Entry filed under: Atlantic Monthly, Maryland, New York Times, Politics.

Catching Up Rider Strong, Bollywood, Barack Obama, and Snoop Dogg. Which of these go together?

My cousin’s camp is totally in that article. And I totally send her one-way emails on the site, where I can also see pics of her and all her identical friends at the giant orgy her parents pay thousands of dollars for her to attend.

I’m glad the “internet” wasn’t so big when I was at camp.

Thanks for the voicemail last night about that Jeopardy category. I would have been sad to have missed Alex Trebek using his cool IM lingo voice.
